Plastic waste management systems offer important benefits, both for the environment and for society in general. One of the most important benefits is that they help to reduce environmental pollution. By collecting, separating and processing plastic waste properly, this material is prevented from accumulating in inappropriate areas.
In addition, these systems promote the circular economy, where waste is used as a resource for the production of new products. This not only reduces the amount of waste sent to landfill, but also reduces the need to use natural resources for the production of new materials.
At Reyenvas we are part of numerous plastic waste management systems. In Germany, we are integrated in ERDE, which has been coordinating the recovery of these films since 2013. Thanks to the joint action of all member companies, 42,748 tonnes of greenhouse gas emissions have been reduced in absolute terms by 2022, and we have received the Climate Protection Certificate issued by ERDE in recognition of our efforts.
